This here TV, it’s a crazy thing, ain’t it? All them pictures movin’ and folks talkin’. My grandson, he set it up for me. Says I gotta watch this Sony Six thing. Says it’s got the live cricket. Now, I ain’t never been one for sports, but he’s right excited about it, so I watch.
What’s this Cricket Thing, Anyway?
Well, it’s a bunch of fellas in white outfits runnin’ around a field. They got this flat stick and a little ball. One fella throws the ball real hard, and the other fella tries to hit it with the stick. It’s like baseball but… different. More standin’ around, if you ask me. They talk about “overs” and “wickets” and I don’t know what all. But them fellas sure can run, I’ll give ’em that.
Sony Six, They Say
My grandson, he keeps yellin’ about Sony Six. Says that’s where the good cricket is. He got me this thing called a “subscription.” Says I gotta pay for it every month. Seems like a lot of money just to watch fellas hit a ball, but he says it’s worth it. “No ad-breaks during play,” he says, “No ad-breaks.” I do like that, I hate them loud commercials.
- Sony Six shows the cricket
- Gotta pay for it, though
- No ads, that’s good, I guess
Watchin’ on the TV
Used to be, we just had that little box TV. Now, we got this big flat one. Pictures are real clear. You can see the sweat on them fellas’ faces. And they got different ways to watch. You can watch it live, like it’s happenin’ right now, or you can watch it later. “On-demand,” they call it. Like you’re demandin’ to see it, I reckon. And, you can watch this Sony Six live cricket on your computer, or on your phone, it’s crazy.
He tried to show me how to watch it on my phone, but I dropped it in the sink. So now we just stick to the TV. It’s easier that way. You just push a button, and there it is. Sony Six live cricket.
Lots of Runnin’
They run back and forth a lot, these cricket fellas. One time, this big fella, he hit the ball way far. “Clear the ropes,” my grandson yelled. I don’t know what that means, but it seemed important. Everybody cheered. Must be a good thing when they clear the ropes. That fella sure can hit that little ball.
They also had some highlights thingy, all the best parts, all action. My grandson, he liked that part.
This Live Thing is Somethin’
This live thing is somethin’ else. You see it as it’s happenin’. Like you’re right there in the field with them fellas. Except you ain’t gotta run around and get all sweaty. You can just sit here on the couch and watch. It’s a good deal, I suppose. It’s exciting, though, when the game is close, and it all comes down to the last few throws. My grandson, he gets real worked up.
Payin’ for it All
My grandson says there’s different ways to pay for this Sony Six live cricket. He says there’s one for $25, one for $30, and one for $35. I don’t know the difference. He picked one out for me. Said it was the best one. Hope he ain’t spendin’ all his money on this thing. But, I gotta say, seein’ him happy makes me happy, too.
There was something about some trial thing, 14 days free, but I don’t know. If you like the cricket, maybe it’s worth lookin’ into.
Australia and West Indies
He was yellin’ about Australia and West Indies the other day. Said they were playin’. I don’t know where them places are, but them fellas sure can play cricket. Lots of runnin’ and hittin’. And they need to win by a certain amount, he says, 15 or somethin’ like that. It’s all very confusin’, but it’s fun to watch, I guess.
This Whole Thing is New
This whole TV thing is new to me. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We just had each other, and the radio, and that was enough. But I reckon times change. And if this Sony Six live cricket thing makes my grandson happy, then I’m happy, too. It’s nice to have somethin’ to watch, somethin’ to talk about. Even if I don’t understand half of what they’re sayin’.
If you like cricket, you should probably get this Sony Six thing. That’s what my grandson says, anyway. He seems to know what he’s talkin’ about. And it does keep him quiet for a few hours, so that’s a plus, I reckon.
