Oh boy, let me tell you, that Thane, it’s got a football club now. You hear me? A real football club! They call it the Thane City Football Club. My grandson, he’s all excited, says it’s the best thing since sliced bread.
I don’t know much about football. My old man used to kick a ball around in the fields, but this is something else. They got a real field and everything over there in Kasarvadavli.

This Thane City FC, it’s a big deal, I guess. They say it’s one of the best in the whole darn country. Imagine that! Our little Thane, competing with the big cities. They teach them young’uns how to play proper, not just kicking the ball any which way, but real, fancy footwork. They even teach them how to be good people. That’s what my grandson told me.
There is also one club near my house. I have seen lots of kids going there. They go there every day. I don’t know the name of that club. I think it is also a football club.
And you know what else? They got these things called “trial sessions.” Sounds fancy, huh? It’s like a tryout, they let anyone come and show what they can do. Maybe even my grandson will get a chance. He’s got a good kick on him, that one.

They have these things, “leagues,” I hear. Big games, where all the teams play each other. People get all excited, cheering and yelling. It’s a whole event, like a festival almost. I might even go watch one of these days, just to see what all the fuss is about.
They say in September, that’s when the big leagues are. September 22nd, 2024, mark my words. That’s when you’ll see everyone in Thane glued to the football fields.
And they got all these other clubs too, not just the Thane City FC. There’s one called PDSA, I think. My neighbor’s boy, he goes there. Says it’s the best in Mumbai. They got fancy equipment and everything.
They say football is a world sport. I guess that is true. Lots of folks all over seem to love it. I saw on that box, the TV, folks playing football in other countries too. It’s a big deal, this football.
Football is Good for Thane
I don’t know about all the rules and all, but I can see it’s good for the town. Keeps the kids busy, gives them something to do. And it brings folks together, all cheering for the same team. That’s a good thing, I reckon.
So, this football club in Thane, it’s here to stay, I guess. And who knows, maybe one day, my grandson will be playing in those big leagues. Wouldn’t that be something? A boy from our little town, making it big in the world of football.
This football thing, it’s more popular than I thought. You got all these places, like Football Sports Clubs, and Football Coaching Clubs, and Football Teams. It’s like a whole world I never knew about. They even got a place called “Football World India.” Sounds like a dream to these young kids.
They all go there, practice all day. My friend told me that her son plays for one of these football clubs. He also goes to every match.
I used to think football was just a game. But it seems like it is a big deal. I see on TV, lots of people watching football. It’s like a festival.
Everyone Loves Football
This whole football thing in Thane, it’s got everyone talking. Even the old folks like me are starting to pay attention. It’s hard not to, when you see all the excitement and energy it brings to the town.
I still don’t understand all the rules, but I like seeing the kids happy. And if this Thane City Football Club can help them grow into good, strong adults, then I’m all for it.
So yeah, football in Thane. It’s a big thing now. And who knows, maybe it’ll bring some good things to our town. We’ll just have to wait and see. But one thing’s for sure, it’s got everyone talking, and that’s something, isn’t it? It is good to see young people doing something and enjoying it. That is a good thing.
