Hey everyone, I am gonna tell you something about my experience with sports law courses in India. It is really a new thing, you know. It’s all about the legal stuff related to sports players, teams, managers, and all that jazz.

First off, I found out that sports law is not just one thing. It mixes in a bit of contract law, some tort law, trademark law, and a bunch of other legal areas. Pretty wide-ranging, huh?
So, I started digging around for courses. One of the first things I stumbled upon was this one-week online certificate course on sports law in India. They offer it at a place called the Centre for Advocacy Research and Training in Sports Law at MNLU Mumbai. They were like, “Hey, come learn about sports law!” So, I was like, “Okay, let’s see what this is all about”.
Then I bumped into another course at the Gujarat National Law University. They have this Centre for Sports and Entertainment Law (GCSEL). I guess they do a bunch of courses related to sports, and yeah, sports law is one of them.
I also found something about a seminar course at the National Law School of India University. I think it dives into the legal challenges in sports, both in India and internationally. They do a lot of talking and discussing in class, which sounds pretty cool.
Then there’s this other course I found. They say it covers “every aspect of the fundamentals of sports law.” I was like, “Wow, that’s a big promise!” But hey, if you want a deep dive, maybe that’s the way to go.

Here’s a fun fact I learned: sports lawyers in India can make somewhere between 1,06,376 and 1,90,480 rupees per month. Not too bad, right?
So, that’s my little adventure into the world of sports law courses in India. I thought it is pretty interesting, and it seems like there are quite a few places offering courses if you’re into that kind of thing. Anyway, I thought I’d share this with y’all. Maybe some of you are thinking about this field. If so, hope this helps a bit!
