Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that football net size. That there net, it ain’t small, no sir. It’s big enough for a whole bunch of folks to jump through, I reckon. Why’s it so big, you ask? Well, I heard tell it’s gotta be big enough for that ball to go in, and sometimes them fellas kick that ball real hard.
You see them young’uns playin’ these days? They run around like chickens with their heads cut off! They need a big ol’ net to catch that ball. I’ve seen them nets all different sizes. Some small, some real big. The full size football goal, that’s the big one, they say it’s 24 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Can you imagine that? That’s wider than my whole kitchen! And taller than my tallest grandchild! And that’s a big fella!
Now, they got different sizes for them little kids. I heard them say somethin’ about 21 feet by 7 feet. Still big, if you ask me. And for the even littler ones, that football goal net gets a little smaller. 16 feet wide and 7 feet high, so they say. Still bigger than my old shed out back.
They say it is football net size standard. Well, I reckon that there are standard for them, that is for sure. 24 feet by 8 feet, that is the one. I heard them talk about it. They say it is the one for them 15 and older. Well, I think that is right. They are big fellas at that time, they need a big net.
Now, I heard them say somethin’ about 6.4 meters wide. What’s a meter, anyway? Sounds like somethin’ fancy. But they say the posts gotta be at least 6 meters high, and that crossbar thing is 2.44 meters up. All I know is, that ball’s gotta go under that bar to be a goal. If it goes over, well, that’s just a point, they say. Sounds complicated to me. But them players, they seem to know what they’re doin’.
They call it 5-a-side, but they say sometimes they play with more than five folks. Fast, they say it is. They are runnin’ all over the place. I get tired just watchin’ ’em! But that’s how them young folks are. Always runnin’ and jumpin’.
It’s all about that football net, I reckon. If you want to play football, you are gonna need one. There are even some small ones, they call it target football goal nets. And they are so small, only 4 feet by 2 feet. I do not know what is that for. But I guess that is useful if you do not have that much space.
- Big net for the big kids, 24 feet by 8 feet.
- Smaller net for the not-so-big kids, 21 feet by 7 feet.
- Even smaller net for the little ones, 16 feet by 7 feet.
- That 5-a-side thing, that’s for fast games, they say.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about that football net size. It’s big, it’s gotta be big to catch that ball, and they got different sizes for different folks. That’s all there is to it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go see about my chickens. They’re probably makin’ a ruckus in the yard. I heard that the football is the most popular game in the world. Well, I can see why, you know. You just need that ball and that big net, and you can have a good time. Although I think that is better for young people. They have the energy for that.
Anyway, just remember, that football net, it’s a big deal. You can’t play without it. And if you’re gonna play, you better be ready to run! And kick that ball hard! And, I heard them say somethin’ about 9-a-side. Well, that is just too many people for me. But they like it, I guess. They play it on grass, they say. And artificial, whatever that means. And 3G. I don’t know what is 3G. Maybe that is somethin’ new. Young people know all these things. I just know that football net size is important for that game.
Now, I’m gonna go sit on my porch and watch the sunset. That’s my kind of game. Nice and quiet. You take care now, and don’t you go kickin’ that ball too hard, you hear? That football net is big but it does not mean you can just kick it anywhere. And remember that sizes. They are important, or so they say.
